Barbara Moebius was one of the founding members of NASBITE in 1988, and is the last original board member still serving the organization. She chaired the first official NASBITE conference in 1989. Over the years, she has served in most positions and committees, including president in 2000. Currently, she is the NASBITE Historian, and chairs the Policies and Procedures Committee. Barbara was also a member of the National Steering Committee to develop the NASBITE CGBP.

At Waukesha County Technical College in Wisconsin, she established the International Trade Center in 1985, and served as Associate Dean for Global Business and International Education. In that position, she authored and served as project director for numerous grants, including FIPSE and BIE. Previously, she served on the boards of the Milwaukee World Trade Association and the Wisconsin World Trade Center.

Barbara has made numerous presentations at regional, national, and international conferences on international business program development and grant funding. Currently serves as a consultant in the development and evaluation of BIE proposals. She holds a BS and MA from the University of Wisconsin. In addition to living for a year on a sailboat, Barbara has traveled to 75 countries at last count. During the winter months, she can be found in Prescott, Arizona exploring a new interest in pottery of the ancient Puebloan Indians
