Anil Chang, CGBP

International Trade Specialist, SBDC Fort Lauderdale

Anil Chang is an international trade specialist at the SBDC, Fort Lauderdale where he conducts extensive international trade research and develops export marketing plans for established U.S. manufacturing companies. He also provides entrepreneurs with one on one consulting and training to assist them in growing their export business. In addition, Anil has presented at the SBDC Fort Lauderdale’s International Trade Certificate Program. Anil has extensive experience in managing the procurement and delivery of domestic and international orders and has handled time sensitive documents and products. He has authorized final engineering schematics/drawings for industry specific equipment, coordinated with quality inspections and certification requirements. Anil also met and evaluated international suppliers from China, India, Australia, United Kingdom, and Italy. Anil holds a bachelor’s degree and is presently completing his MBA at Florida International University in Miami.


Parbatee Chang, CGBP

International Trade Specialist, SBDC Fort Lauderdale

Parbatee Chang is a consultant who provides consulting and training on strategic audits and organizational improvement. She has expertise in business startup, business planning, financing, strategic planning, marketing and sales, international trade, as well as quality management systems and accreditation. She is a Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) as well as a CGBP Certified Trainer with NASBITE. She is also a Certified FastTrac Trainer and was an ISO 900O Lead Auditor. Parbatee is a consultant with the SBDC in Florida and previously served as the Executive Director of the Trinidad & Tobago Bureau of Standards. She was also the Vice Chair of the CARICOM Common Market Standards Council, a board member of the ISO General Council in Geneva, and worked closely with industry, private, and public sectors. She acquired training in Ireland, England, Canada, Argentina, India, Italy, Tunisia, United States and the Caribbean. She has also been a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank and has done work with over thirteen countries regarding the World Trade Organization/Technical Barriers to Trade Agreements. Parbatee is the author of “Strategic Audits – A Necessity for Transforming Businesses” (www.strategicaudits.com) which was given a five star (out of five rating) by Foreward Reviews. She has delivered presentations at the ASBDC, FSBDCN and NASBITE Conferences in the United States.


Eileen Rodriguez, CGBP

Regional Director, FSBDC at University of South Florida

As the regional director of the Small Business Development Center at the University of South Florida (SBDC at USF), Eileen Rodriguez leads the Center’s 10-county area in its legislative and community outreach. She is also responsible for securing funding, building strategic partnerships, and leading initiatives that foster entrepreneurship in the Bay area. Eileen joined the SBDC at USF in 1997 as a Certified Global Business Professional, providing business consulting and educational seminars for pre-venture and established businesses. She specializes in international business and trade, women and minority owned businesses, and is a NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP). In developing the SBDC at USF’s international program, she formed its International Trade Certificate Program, which is one of only 10 NASBITE International Accredited Training Programs in the world. She has recently received the CGBP Certified Trainer designation from NASBITE. Eileen also designed the SBDC’s Growth Acceleration Program (GAP), which caters to mature business entities diverse needs in developing sustainable growth strategies. Eileen’s extensive experience as a businesswomen and business owner allows her to provide specialized knowledge and skills necessary for developing small business growth. Prior to joining the SBDC, she owned an environmental consulting firm and is a licensed professional geologist in Florida and Puerto Rico.
