The Center for Global Business at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland invites you to apply for a Faculty Development in International Business (FDIB) program to Cuba in May 2019.
The goal of the program is to enable participants to develop a better understanding of the working of the Cuban economy within its broader historical, political and cultural context, and to get a sense of the changes that are underway both domestically and in the context of the US-Cuba relationship. The program will also enable participants to develop connections with counterparts at Cuban universities. Through business visits and speaking engagements with professionals, government representatives, and the higher education community in Cuba, the program will explore topics of high current relevance, including the Cuban investment laws, currency and exchange rate system, and investment opportunities. For more information on the program, please click here.
The program application is open and early applications are being considered. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible since a limited number of slots are available on this program.
The Center for Global Business at the Smith School is home to one of 15 Centers for International Business Education (CIBE) in the country. CIBE, a Title VI grant from the U.S. Department of Education, serves as a regional and national resource center for teaching, research, and outreach in international business.
