Amy Chetelat, CAE is experienced in both corporate accounting and association management and is responsible for SMG’s accounting and financial management, as well as the financial management of thirteen trade and professional associations. In her role as SMG’s Director of Finance, Chetelat is responsible for all areas of accounting and financial management as well as information technology and building operations. Chetelat is supported by an accounting manager and administrative staff in SMG’s Financial Department.
Chetelat holds a Masters of Business Administration and earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives in 2003, and was recertified in 2005, 2008, and 2011. She is an active member of ASAE and a former member of the Finance Section Committee. She is a past president of the Maryland Society of Association Executives. Before becoming President of MSAE she spent several years serving as their treasurer. She is an active member of the Institute for Managerial Accountants, the Chesapeake Professional Women’s Network and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
