Jeff Bogen is the chief of the Business and Government Services Section in the Balance of Payments Division at the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
Mr. Bogen oversees the production of statistics on U.S. international trade in business and government services that are key components of the U.S. international transactions accounts (balance of payments), U.S. international trade in goods and services, and the national income and product accounts. His team brings together data from a variety of government and private sources to produce accurate, timely, and relevant statistics that inform policymaking and business decisions.
Mr. Bogen has over 18 years of experience producing vital economic statistics for the U.S. government. Prior to joining BEA in 2008, Mr. Bogen was an economist at the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Mr. Bogen earned a master’s degree in applied economics from the Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Minnesota.
