Accredited Training Program

The CGBP Accredited Training Program designation represents NASBITE's endorsement of a training program or college/university program that demonstrates the competency (knowledge, skills, and attitudes) required to effectively facilitate "learning transfer" of the Certified Global Business Professional practice delineation among candidates seeking the credential. Accredited Training Programs are those that include exemplary trainers and curriculum with a track record of successfully preparing test-takers to sit for the CGBP Exam.

Accredited Training Program Requirements and Milestones:

There should be at least one virtual ATP organized training program prior to every exam window. The calendar for this should be announced at the beginning of the year and in coordination with the ATP Lead. If no ATP is available to conduct a training ahead of an exam window, a group of NASBITE Certified Trainers should be allowed to organize under the auspice of NASBITE International with all proceeds going to NASBITE. Certified Trainers can be compensated by some in-kind gesture for their time (e.g. waived registration for the Exporter Summit, discounted registration for the Annual Training Forum, etc.). Furthermore, ATPs are expected to comply with the following requirements:
  • Must feature training and curriculum that aligns with the CGBP Practice Delineation.
  • Must be directed by a member of NASBITE International and CGBP in good standing (currently recertified).
  • Must deliver a minimum of three (3) CGBP trainings within a three (3) year period or be terminated, and required to apply again.
  • Encouraged to utilize NASBITE training resources (e.g. CGBP Study Guide, Student Pathway, Student Pathway Plus, CGBP Practice Delineation, CGBP Practice Exams, CGBP Exam, CGBP Exam Prep Plus).

ATPs will be expected to submit a brief one-page annual report on three key measures:
  1. Number of training events delivered
  2. Number of test-takers generated
  3. Pass rate
ATPs with the highest performance metrics will be recognized at the Annual Training Forum and have their logo displayed on the NASBITE ATP webpage for the following year.
