The 2027 NASBITE Call for Presentations is now open until November 30th!
The NASBITE Training Forum provides learning opportunities across a broad spectrum of topics related to international business and trade. Attendees include faculty teaching international business at colleges and universities, international trade specialists and trainers affiliated with SBDCs/World Trade Centers/state offices of international trade, and trade practitioners from industry. We are seeking presenters to provide current topics and best practices for all segments of forum attendees.
NASBITE International encourages submissions linked to three themes:
1) Industry Dynamics and Expertise (Topics including pertinent and upcoming changes in the global business environment, trade skills and expertise training, resources in support of international trade, use of AI, etc.)
2) International Business Education (Topics including IB curricula, CGBP training, study abroad, international partnerships, etc.)3) Career Development in Global Trade (Topics including emerging skills and professions in global trade, workshops on how to find jobs for recent graduates, how to get promoted, etc.)
Some specific topics of interest to our participants include:
• Changing landscape of tariffs and tariff strategies
• CBP and increased enforcement efforts
• AI
• Changing landscape of global trade agreements
• Business development opportunities in global trade
• Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA)
• Business opportunities in Latin America and the Caribbean given the forum is being held in Southern Florida
• Nearshoring vs. Reshoring
• How to sell to U.S. and foreign government contracting opportunities and related processes
• Dealing with the changing student Visa programs
Proposals are welcomed outside of the above themes and topics.
The focus of all sessions should be educational, that is, with an emphasis on informing attendees of best practices, resources, or developments in the field, as opposed to commercial in nature. As we continue to see an increase in attendees actively working in international trade, we encourage proposals that support both educators and practitioners.
NASBITE International does offer a robust sponsorship program and we would be pleased to work with interested organizations on opportunities to showcase our sponsors. For further details, click here.
